FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q Can you organise transfers from the airport ?
A Yes, after booking your flight let us know your flight details. Then we can organise your transfer. See ‘Getting to Gozo’ and inform us of your choice of arrival.

Q Can you organise car hire ?
A Yes, we can organise car hire on Gozo, see ‘Getting to Gozo’ and inform us of your choice.

Q What, if any food is provided at the farmhouse ?
A A Welcome Pack is provided on your arrival at the farmhouse. This includes some basic food items for your arrival – milk, butter, bread, fruit, jam, bottled water and some Maltese wine. Tea, coffee, sugar, oil, condiments and some herbs and spices are also provided.

Q What is included in the quoted tariff ?
A A weekly maid service and pool man is included. Also a weekly change of bed linen and towels. Bathroom towels as well as beach towels are included. All gas, electricity and water charges are included.

Q Who is our contact person on Gozo ?
A We are only too pleased to assist you whilst staying on Gozo and prior in your preparation to visit. Please see ‘Your Hosts’ for contact details. In the event of our absence you will be informed of our representatives name as well as all their contact details. It is our endeavour to be of service to you, in the case of an emergency, 24 hours a day.

Q How do we pay for our booking ?
A You can pay your deposit and final balance direct into our Euro Bank Account. If you have a PayPal Account funds can be transferred via  this method for a small additional fee. This will be indicated at the time of booking. Details of the accounts will follow on confirmation.

Q When do I have to pay the final balance ?
A The final amount is due 4 weeks prior to your arrival. Please see ‘Terms and Conditions’ as regards late or none payment.

Q What happens if I cancel ?
A Please  see ‘Terms and Conditions’ about cancellations either after the deposit has been paid or final balance. With both eventualities we will endeavour to re-let the farmhouse for the period of your cancelled stay. If this is not possible, in either case you forfeit money paid. However, on re-letting all money is refunded for the period of the new let. Therefore if you unfortunately have to cancel, the earlier you inform us, the greater chance we have of re-letting it for you.

Q Is the pool chlorinated ?
A No, the pool is cleansed and filtered using an electronic method so there is no problem of stinging eyes or hair turning green due to chlorine.

Q What if I am ill on holiday ?
A I am a medical doctor and can be called out as an emergency or arrange for you to be seen by a local medical practitioner (fees are normally charged but this could be re-imbursed under your own insurance policy). We can also direct you to a pharmacy we use for self medication. These details are in the Home Information Pack.

Q In the event of breakages, do I have to pay ?
A Please notify us of any breakages and the circumstances. There is an inventory list in the farmhouse and a cost for breakages which have to be paid for. However there can be exceptions.

Q You have a library, what happens if I am reading a book and haven’t finished when I leave ?
A Books are provided for guests to peruse and read during their stay. Dependent on the book, it may be for purchase. Please ask rather than taking, as these are our own books and taking deprives others of their enjoyment and us, of our collection.

Q I am arriving on a night flight, will the farmhouse be available on my arrival ?
A As bookings can run back to back it cannot be guaranteed that the farmhouse will be available in the early hours of the morning, unless you have booked for commencement the day before. If the farmhouse is occupied then it will be approximately 1600 hours after your arrival that it will be ready, after it has been cleaned and prepared. In the event the property is vacant on your arrival you will be taken straight there. Please let us know if you intend to arrive during the night.

Q I am leaving on a night flight, can you store our luggage ?
A Yes this can be securely stored and brought to you when you leave Gozo. This can be either at Mgarr Harbour or another location on Gozo.

Q I would like to charter a boat for the day ?
A We can organise private boat charters for the day, but it may be far more economical to go on one of the many excursions leaving Mgarr, Marsalforn, The Inland Sea to admire the coastline from the sea and have the opportunity to swim in the clear, turquoise blue waters of Gozo or Comino, location of the Blue Lagoon.

Q I have a specific request, can you help ?
A We will try our best to arrange a special occasion for you (birthday, anniversary), fishing trip, scuba diving, horse riding etc. Please let us know what your requirements are and we then can inform you of the options and the costs.
